The Network of Researchers China-Spain (RICE) is an initiative of the Spanish scientific community residing in China to promote the exchange of experiences and facilitate scientific relations between both countries.
RICE has taken as reference other networks of Spanish researchers consolidated abroad and aims to be one more node of this macro-network.
RICE is established as a digital platform that aims to make visible the work carried out by Spanish researchers based in China, collect information of interest, organize meetings to enhance scientific exchange, provide a vision of the Chinese research system from within and act as a link with the Spanish research system.
That integrates not only Spanish scientists residing in China, but also other actors in China-Spain scientific relations, whether from the public or private sector, whether or not they have permanent residence in China, and of Chinese or Spanish nationality. For this purpose, RICE has a resources section, job notifications and news relevant to the network's activity.
In a country as extensive as China, with an enormous research community that continues to grow, RICE aims to give visibility to Spanish scientists. To this end, RICE organizes academic and outreach events to publicize the important work carried out by its members.
Facilitating information and support to researchers and institutions interested in working in China and compiling bilateral funding opportunities. With this objective, RICE is in constant contact with institutions from both countries to be able to serve as a meeting point.

Favor international relations and cooperation between researchers and scientists, organizations and public and private bodies, from a global perspective in matters of research, science and technology, thus promoting networking.
Share the experience and knowledge acquired in the research and science system in China, thus serving as an advisory body, information channeler and catalyst for international and multidirectional relations in scientific matters with the objective of contributing to the progress of science and the improvement of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation.
